Companion
Companion’s are your Personal User Device, and is generally connected to your phone via bluetooth (or USB) to use the Meshcore App
Go to the Web Flasher: https://meshcore.io/flasher
Scroll down the list to find your device, Then Select the Companion Bluetooth type
Here are the steps:
- Click Enter DFU Mode (A list showing USB connections appears)
- Plug in your Meshcore device to the computer USB port
- Your Device will then show in the list
- Select it, and click Connect
- After a few seconds DFU Button (Changes to DFU Mode Active)
- Click on the Button Erase Flash (This might take 30 seconds or so)
- Click on the Flash button to install the Meshcore Firmware
After it completes, remove power from your device, and then re-apply.
Now your are ready to pair it with your phone via Bluetooth.

Repeater
Repeaters are Infrastructure Nodes. They extend the range of the Mesh. They don’t connect via Bluetooth. Configuration is done from a companion node.
Go to the Web Flasher: https://meshcore.io/flasher
Scroll down the list to find your device, Then Select the Repeater type
Here are the steps:
- Click Enter DFU Mode (A list showing USB connections appears)
- Plug in your Meshcore device to the computer USB port
- Your Device will then show in the list
- Select it, and click Connect
- After a few seconds DFU Button (Changes to DFU Mode Active)
- Click on the Button Erase Flash (This might take 30 seconds or so)
- Click on the Flash button to install the Meshcore Firmware
After it completes, remove power from your device, and then re-apply it.
Now your are ready to do the initial configuration via USB
